Brooklynn Paige Rohrbaugh
December 15, 2003 ~ 7lbs 12oz 20 inches long

Hi, my name is Brooklynn Paige and I was born on December 15, 2003 @ 5:15pm via emergency c-section, 11 days premature. I weighed in at 7lbs 12oz and was 20 inches long. My Mommy had a placental abruption and I was in trouble. They took Mommy into surgery only 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital for indescribable pains. After determining that I was in stress, they rushed mommy to the operating room. There no one was allowed to witness my birth, not even my Mommy. They knocked her out completely and cut Mommy from her belly button down to get me out. I was not breathing at birth. Mommy doesn't know anything that happened, only what the doctor will tell her. He said to thank the nurse who attended cause she really "worked with me." This to Mommy sounds really bad and can only imagine what could have happened to me. The nurse that helped deliver my sister was with my Mommy when she was taken into surgery. She told my Mommy she would hold her hand till she woke back up, and that is where my Mommy found her. She told Mommy that she had had a beautiful baby girl and that I was ok. Mommy wanted to see me, but she was on morphine and couldn't stay awake not to mention all the pain from the incision and the tube down her nose. I was put in the NICU for 5 days with lots of cords & IVs.. Mommy was in recovering along with me. I didn't get to meet my Mommy till the evening after I was born and even then she only got to hold me for a brief minute till she was out again. Daddy didn't get to hold me till day 3. My Maw-Maw told my Mommy that I was beautiful and that I had a cow-lick like my sister.. :) Daddy marked us well! lol..  So I am named after my Maw-Maw. Her middle name is Lynn. :)

I am now a very smart 4 year old. I can count to 15 and to 10 in Spanish. I know all of my colors and 5 in Spanish. I love playing my Nintendo DS, playing Mermaids with my sister and teaching my little brother all kinds of naughty things. lol
